SAME OLD RAT RACE

There’s a lot in life I could choose to do

Places to see and sites to view

There’s lots of things I’d like to change

Injustice to fight, evils to erase

But the weight of the world is on our backs

Too far gone, to hard to back track

Instead I plod on, I accept how things are

Afraid to revolt or go “too far”

SAME

OLD

SAME OLD RAT RACE

SAME

OLD

SAME OLD RAT RACE

The strength to fight, close to the surface

World apathy, is it all worth it?

I have a feeling someday I’ll explode

Let’s hope it’s soon, before I’m too old

The weight of the world is on our backs

Too far gone, to hard to back track

Instead I plod on, I accept how things are

Afraid to revolt or go “too far”
